A year of football

I never thought I would be sitting on the sidelines of every game cheering my son on! I am not a fan of sports, but something about Nathaniel playing football tugs at my heart. When he plays baseball I do not have the same feeling. Maybe because baseball is too slow for me and there is no action. But watching Nathaniel catch the ball, or pick it off, or tackle the opposing player is wonderful.

Most of the players on Nathaniel's team have never played before.. We got a lot of small players, or players who had been cut from the other teams (not allowed at all) because they weren't the best. It was pretty rough in the beginning and I was doubting the team big time. We had a head coach that wasn't a great coach at all and it reflected on the boys. But then we got a different head coach and he changed things around. The team started practicing harder and they truly seem to enjoy playing for the team. A big thank you to Coach Alex and the rest of the coaches on The Tulare Jaguars. Our boys begin to play with their hearts! And the more they played the better they got.. Sure we won some and we lost some but these boys played well and they play well together.. It was amazing to have 25ish players who ALL got along great! They really did make this a true team!

The Jaguars were deemed the underdogs, but guess what we showed them and now the boys are going to the playoffs! Good luck Tulare Jaguars! I will see you out on the field!
